From Los Gatos to Los Altos Hills, from Skyline Boulevard to Boulder Creek, from Summit Road to Scotts Valley, from Santa Cruz to San Lorenzo Valley you may find the house for you.   Boulder Creek area residents are located within 45 minutes of the San Jose Airport, or within 45 minutes of the 101 and 85 freeway interchange.  The quicker drivers are able to do it in 30 minutes most days.  It depends on what route they take and how fast they drive.  Commute traffic typically moves quickly through the mountains and slows down on the freeways. If you want to check out the commute, check into a mountain motel or hostel in the area of your choice for a few nights. You will be glad you did.

A drive through the forested mountains twice a day can really be a pleasure.  Driving at the speed limit in the mountains smelling fresh air is much better than smelling the car fumes in stop and go traffic on the freeway.  Enjoying mountain scenery certainly beats looking at bumper stickers on the freeways.  And if you can telecommute now and then, all the more reason to head for the hills and buy your dream home.
